Delivering fleeces
We can already transform a fleece starting from 1 kilo incoming weight.
Please don’t scour the fleeces with any type of detergents before delivery. We use special products to wash your fleeces so that they don’t loose any of their softness and brightness, other products can cause problems in our machines and result in a less quality product.
We would like to give you a few tips to prepare your fleeces for delivery. This way you receive a better and more beautiful product
Conclusion the cleaner you deliver the fleece to us, the lower your loss during transformation.
Keep in mind that everything that stays in there will add weight on the scale and it not any value for your end product.

We would like to give you a few tips to prepare your fleeces for delivery. This way you receive a better and more beautiful product
- While shearing, first shear the saddle and bag it! So that it can not get contaminated with other pieces of straw haylage, … this part is the best and use to transform into a yarn;
- We don’t like to receive legfiber or short course fibers, only the best part of the animal. We would also like to ask to pick out all faeces;
- Before sending the best part to us, put it open on a table and look for the best bit in the fleece now compare to see if everything looks like your best part, if not take it out. Also pick out the second cuts and hay, straw, …
- Before you bag it, shake the fleece well this way all unnecesairy stuff falls already out as dirt, sand, … don’t forget that this also weighs on the scale!

REservation and delivering fleeces
To transform your fleeces we work in 2 ways:
You can deliver your fleeces yourself with us at the mill and look together what we could make from them.
Or you can also send us the fleeces, so we would like to ask to fill in the form and put it in every bag you send to us.
- You make a reservation for example in the month of July for 5 kg, this is about the weight we are not chasing a specific weight. So we will schedule time in that month to transform your fleeces if you made a reservation for a certain month, you will receive the month before an invite to deliver your fleeces to us. If we don’t get fleeces nor a message that you prefer to skip your place there will be invoiced fixed amount of 10 euro a kilo that you made the reservation for, this as fine.
- You deliver your fleeces and we will look together what the month of transformation will be, this depends on our reservation. So you will be placed at the end of the line where we are at that moment. Please do contact us to know which month will be the next transformation month.
You can deliver your fleeces yourself with us at the mill and look together what we could make from them.
Or you can also send us the fleeces, so we would like to ask to fill in the form and put it in every bag you send to us.

When you send us fleeces, please keep us informed that they are coming so that we can keep an eye for them as well.
We also keep ourself the right to refuse fleeces that are too dirty, britle fleeces,or from animals with skin problems as we know we can not get everything out and you will also see it in the end product.
We will contact you by mail to inform you about any given problem that can occur during or before transformation. If you would like to return your fleece(s) please note that this will always be charged on your behalf.
Payment

Once we have received the fleeces and know what you would like to make from them, you will receive an advance invoice. This is 50% of the final invoice. We would like to ask to pay this asap because we only start with the transformation once we have this amount on our bank account.
The final invoice will be made when everything is ready. These can be picked up of send once this invoice is payed. All shipping costs are invoiced for the client. When we don’t receive a payment within 30 days after invoice date the products will become property of Tumulus Fiber Mill. As well when they won’t be picked up after 60 days. We strive to deliver you a beautiful product with a minimum loss once the transformation starts. This all depends on the quality of the fleece how you deliver it to us, uniformity of length, micron, … If you would have any questions or remarks, please don’t hesitate to contact us. |
